I heard late yesterday that Southern Masters were running the regional championships today. Free entry and no grading – only age groups. With sore glutes and hard racing yesterday, the plan was to hang in the bunch for as long as possible as I was expecting to be dropped due to the mix of A, B, C etc riders. Continue reading

This weekend I partook of the Mansfield Tour, round 2 of the Victorian Road Series. This race is held in the Victorian high country and is suited to those who can climb. Why would somone like me who is bad at hills do it? Mainly as there was a decent length time trial. Besdies that, I’d expect to have my legs ripped off me, if not on the undulating stage 2, for sure on the climb up Mt. Biller on stage 3. Continue reading

Stage 1: Try and catch the guy in front of me.
Stage 2: Get a break away and last until at least the 3 stage hill after the high tension lines
